Note:
To calculate the percent of people in a certain state who receive federally
administered SSI who are in a particular category out of the total number
of people in the state who receive federally administered SSI, divide the
number of people in the state who receive federally administered SSI in a
particular category by the total number of people in the state who receive
federally administered SSI. Example: Out of the total number of people in
Nebraska who received federally administered SSI, calculate the percent who
received federally administered SSI in the blind category. This calculation
would be 239/21,221=.011 and .011x100=1.1%
