Note: "----"
indicates data not available.
Although deaths may appear irrelevant to disability tables, they provide incidence
for extreme incidents and may be instructive for planning and prevention.
To calculate the percent of fatal occupational injuries in a state involving people of a certain age group, divide the number of people in the age group by the sum of all the age groups and multiply the result by 100. Example: Calculate the percent of people in Nevada age 20-24 years who were involved a fatal occupational injury. This calculation would be: 4/(6+4+8+11+14+5+3)=.0784 and .0784x100=7.84%
